Matth Velvet began painting walls in the early 2000s in western France. The maritime and industrial landscapes were his first source of inspiration and permeates his first artistic researches. Passionate drawer, he naturally turns to applied arts, while redoubling his attendance in graffiti practice.

He will gradually leave the aerosol for acrylic paint and oil, which allow him greater control of colors and a rendering closer to his expectations on wall as in gallery.

Today, at the same time designer and artist, he describes in his painting human behaviors through the prism of the objects and architecture.

Author of many large murals and exhibitions in France and abroad, especially in duet with Zoer, he now pursues a more personal path in Bordeaux where he lives now

Attracted to a wide range of supports, he has chosen not to limit himself to one technique. His work is the union of detailed studio paintings, quick outdoor interventions, and large figurative murals.

Matth Velvet combines in his subjects his most intimate recollection with a rigorous observation of what surrounds him, to create a world in the twilight of reality and fantasy, narration and abstraction, pragmatism and onirism.
